    Digifast 2 setting timing?

From what I understand the digifast2 chip changes some of the timing settings.
Should I still set the timing to 6 degrees before to dead centre @ 2300ish rpm ? Or should I put the original chips in to reset the timing then reinstall the digifast 2 chips.

Ps this has come about due to new cam seal being installed

I would set it with the chip fitted, then test drive to make sure there's no pinking.

I have always checked them at tickover.

    Hi Gavin

when you say fitted chips, do you mean the origional chips or the digifast currently fitted ?

Doesn't matter what chip is in there for me. The reference is TDC, I'd set it at tickover and then drive it. No pinking , then advance it a bit more. Repeat until you get the most advance without pinking and it still ticks over nicely.
