Digifant 8v conks out when hot. Help!!!

Hello

My 8v digifant 1.8 conks out when hot.
If I am stuck in traffic idling for extended periods of time. The engine starts to run really rough then dies. If I turn it back on it normally kicks up and engine run normal but not always.
I've replaced the blue temp sensor, lambda sensor, installed a low temp fan switch but the issue remains
But here is the interesting thing - then I had the original thermo fan switch it did the same thing but at a lower temp. Now with the low temp switch it dose it at a lower temp.

Battery is good new alternator brushes- charging fine.

Any ideas would be great

Could be the fuel pump or ECU relays. Locate them and take the lids off. I have seen plenty that have dry soldered joints in them. You can remake them with a good soldering iron. I always clean all the solder off to make sure you get the best connection after soldering them back in.

Good point ! I have a ****y indicator relay I've been meaning to re-solder

Don't be frightened to use plenty of flux on those joints.

Update issue still remain!
Next option I'll let sit idling until hopefully start to play up then retune. May have to leave for 20 min for the radiator fan to go on and off a few times.
It kind of feels like the timing goes out, when it's hot. That being said its relative to the temp it was tuned at.
As I mentioned previously when I had the stock thermo switch in, the issue would happen but not until the temp gauge was a well beyond half way. But since I've retuned with the low temp fan switch, the issue happens when the gauge reads halfway.I guess I could just put the old switch back in , tune it, then put the low temp switch back in.

Another thing just came to mind, I generally only have short runs so it may be time related.

The Hall senders in the dissy fail pretty often. Have you another dissy you could chuck in there. I have to say they usually get worse, ie quit more often, then fail all together. Pretty much like the crank position sensor on newer Dubs.

A mate in the UK could predict almost to the minute when his G60 would cut out. New dissy, was in fact older, fixed.

Update
Hall sensor replaced, issue still happens
I'll reinstall the digifast chips and see if that makes a difference

What happens if you unplug the thermo fan switch and take it for a drive? (Not recommended in stop start traffic)

Update last couple days issue has not resurfaced! Not sure weather it's due to the drop in temperature in Brisbane the last couple days, or we're my stock ecu chips dodgy.
Last thing I did was install the digifast 2 chips reset ecu....
