it seems like i have a loose bearing in my alternator.
i still have to check it out thoroughly, but if i have to get another one.. whats the best to go for?
currently its 65 amp, but i spose a 90 amp wont hurt
I've had success with Forever Black, just have to apply it, wipe it aaaaaand repeat.

atm i dont have another car to drive, so a direct swap would be ideal if something does go wrong.
i would rebuild it if i had more time to play with.
what are the 90A off?? one that would be a direct swap.
found this site. if i can find out what size and type the bearings are prior to taking it apart, then i can just rebuild it.

Any MK2 fitted with (factory) AC will have the 90A alternator.
As long as its the V belt style alternator, it'll fit fine.
How many amp is the alternator in the MK1?
