Glad you could find a genuine belt cover. They are rare as rocking horse ****.

    Are they Weitec coils?
Thread's been pretty dormant for the last few months, but I'm getting stuck into doing some stuff to the car now

Yeah, was very lucky to find one. It makes a world of difference for squealing belts.

They are just cheap Raceland coilovers from the US. Mate of mine has them in his Mk3, and the ride isn't too bad. So decided to give them a shot. Its my daily as well, so won't be going ridiculously low, so hopefully they last a while. They come with a 2 year warranty.

After doing a bit of homework on the coils i can't work out how to get them to australia? Did you ship them to a US postbox then onwards? Wouldn't mind a set of these for my newly acquired MK2.

Good to hear you're looking at doing some stuff to your Mk2 already. Just shoot them an email at: info@racelandus.com
They were really helpful for me. They'll send you a Paypal invoice for the total rather than going through their online store which only ships within the US/Canada as you found in your research.

Everything's arrived, just need to find time to do it all now. Couldn't help myself so I test fit the wheels with the final spacing tonight. Car isn't lowered at all in this pic, so still has to come down a good few inches once the coilovers are in.

Thanks guys! I think I'll wait until uni quietens down a bit before I set aside a day to do it. I'll drop it to a respectable height for daily duties. Still need to get up some driveways and over speed bumps for work.

Got everything in over the last few days. Very happy with the results. Have raised it about 2-3cm after these photos, might go up another 1cm for daily duties.
Here's how it sat straight after installing. Oil pan was 7cm off the ground. Still need to cut the flares and put them back on.
