Fixed a new water leak in the door today. Might run some speaker cables through to the back for when I can afford some new speakers too. 4" speakers in the front just don't cut it! Can't even hear the radio properly.

Currently looking at getting some new wheels in the next few weeks too, will wait until I seal the deal to post anymore info. And a mate and I are planning a Black Forest Industries order in the next few months for coil-overs and will do my Mk2 and his Mk3 side by side

Thanks mate, all good now. Its been going well lately. Belts still squeal like hell though! Was driving through the main street at Newport Beach a couple of weeks back and noticed a few people checking it out, next thing you know, squealing the whole way down the street. Like a badly behaved child, haha!

Touch wood I solved my belt noise by getting a 11.5 x 730 from Autobarn. It fits the slightly worn pulleys better than the standard 9.5 x 725 version.....This was for the PAS / waterpump (most outer belt). I don't have cover either, shall have to eat more ice cream to get the tub reasy before winter

    Mine doesn't have that too!

The main one looks like this,

And then a smaller one that attaches further forward under the front spoiler.

You'll find its the big V-belt that is slipping as it drive's the WP, A/C and in turn the load of the alternator.
    Got Turbo Inside

Thanks for the info! I can't remember what size I got (still have the packaging, so I'll check). Might be worth trying your fix.

Here's my attempt at the ice-cream tub fix. I struggled… lol! The belts still squeal, but the battery light comes on less now, so its helped keeping the load up to the alternator in the wet. I think I just need to go and get a cover from the wreckers!

No probs, mine has been quiet as a mouse for whole 2 weeks now yeehaa.

I won't comment on the fix as I aint looked at doing mine yet, as long as it does the job really....

I didn't know the cover was for the crank pully, so that even helps......it's not due to be wet till maybe next week so will see what that does

Picked up some new window scraper rubbers from DUBY today and installed them tonight. They sit nice and tight against the glass now. No more wet carpets or duct tape on the windows when its raining for me!

    Hey Brumma,
You do know its the foils behind the door cards that keep out the water....?
