    Central Locking problem

    Hi guys,

Got a small problem with my central locking system. I got a new alarm system, still using original pump. Locking the car is no prob but when i want to open it the driver side wont open, sometimes the other doors dont open either. When i press the locking pin down from the inside and press to 'open' on my remote the pin goes all the way up and i can open the door. When i press 'lock' on the remote and the press 'open' the pump does not even engage and the door wont open. Does this mean i have a leak, weak pump or maybe a stuffed lock? Any help would be fantastic Thanks, Stef

does it work without the alarm engaged?
if you just use key, do all doors open?
best thing to do is go for a full electrical kit anyways. easy installation and costs bout 50 bucks at max.
plus it shoots your doorpins up so fast.
but it dont sound cool like the vaccum pump

well buy a full electrical locking kit. instead of the vaccuum pump driven central locking.
    more reliable and cheaper.
thats really the main reason every car manufacturer uses it now.
go buy a locking kit from whoever you feel comfortable with. (whatever brand)
go auto electrician or if you have the knowledge install it yourself.
not that hard. plus its more reliable imo.
and like loon said, you should maby get it checked out if your central locking isnt defect when you turn your alarm off.
if it works without the alarm then your alarm is defekt and which means you dont need to buy a new kit.
