Carbon parts???

Hi all,

I have a few parts which I would like to have in carbon fibre but can't find them anywhere.

Although I have found a guy who is willing to make all of them parts but I need enough guys intrested in it to be able to make it happen.

I basically need atleast about 50 per shape vw intrested and need to know what you want in carbon before I talk to this guy again.

Please reply to this because it would be cheaper buying here in Aus than importing etc.

I'm guessing it's 50x of one part for it to be worthwhile to get a mould made up and the parts made.

In which case there's no point spamming this thread in every forum on this site - whilst you may get 50 people all wanting parts made, I doubt you're going to find 50 people all wanting the same part as you made.

If you really want to get them made locally, and it's really that much cheaper than getting them from overseas, you'll most likely have to end up getting 50 units of the part you want and selling the other 49 on eBay. Many a successful business has started in a similar fashion.

I can get the wheel arch spats made, the front lip and what ever a bunch of people want. There has to be a fair bit of interest in the making of these parts.

And sorry for trying to help out for those guys who do want carbon parts but do you have to like that.

What I'm getting at is these parts are going to be vehicle specific - It's all good advertising in a heap of different forums, but if you have, for instance, a MkIII and you get interest from people in the MkII forum, then that's really not much good to you as none of the parts for a MkII will fit a MkIII.

Don't get me wrong, carbon parts are rad, and you are doing good by gauging interest in them, I'm just saying you'll need to be more selective with who you're targeting.

Bonnets, spoilers F/R, Heckblends, Mirror casings, Dash, centre consoles, Grille, bumpers... The list goes on!!!

Definately interested in Bonnet, grill and dash!
