just used the nulon foaming intake cleaner as the instructions specify, sprayed the top of the pistons and watched the foam turn black, it lifted a lot of the build-up, the 8v feels so much smoother now....... Will test the fuel economy and get back to you

no unfortunately, but I'll tell you the 8v is so much smoother and less laggy and quieter for some strange reason.
