I told you the heater didnt work. Mk2 and 3 heater matrixs last about 10 years. Cheap to buy, labour intensive to fit.

Rear strut bar is an Aussie ADR thing.

Mk2s have front speakers, they are in the dash, or where the door pockets are on late Mk2s overseas.

good to see my baby lives on, it is a strong motor and does moove when it needs to.i never fitted a stereo, that was from the previous owner(loved the 4gauge power cable still under the carpet), i just drove around listening to the induction roar.

i took the arches off when i was going to fit the g 60's and wide bbs but things changed and i sold them as a package(not the wheels)

the trick to first gear is to approach it like reverse(push down and forwards) but this will be easily fixed with a bush for the selector, the old one is non existant ,the selector bar is just floating in the large hole in the flatplate.

good luck with her just keep a eye on the water levels

and when i first rebuilt her

Put one aside for me. Must have heat. Must have heat.

Rear strut bar is an Aussie ADR thing - is it just for seat belt mounts?

Alex, you'll be happy to know the engine is getting stronger every day. When I got the car the display said average speed 35, fuel economy 9.7 Now av speed is 87 kph and economy is down to 6.8 litres per 100 k.

It still coughs a little bit in 3rd when overtaking but is getting better every day. Also starts first time without stalling and idles smoothly. I haven't done anything to the engine so I think it just needed a few long drives to clear the cobwebs.

Water levels haven't changed much but I did have to put in a litre of oil. Car has done 1200 k's since I picked it up last week. No show pony this car!

As for 1st, it takes a bit of getting used to but I no longer take off in 3rd by mistake!

    Cheers

    Paul

Yup, rear bar is just for baby seats and chassis rigidity.

I actually changed the shift linkages and bushes up in the engine bay, you would have had fun driving it before that

I think the bush in front of the shifter in the shifter box is buggered. Time to change that is when you take the exhaust off

And you dropped the front tyre pressure to 20 psi so it wouldn't make so much noise when it hits bumps.

Back up to 35 front and 30 rear so it doesn't squeal so much through tight corners.
