blinkin blinkers!

Me again.

My blinkers on my MK2 GTI are playing up.

The hazards work but the blinkers won't.

It happened after I disconnected them to get the front bumper off.

The blinker light in the dash is half lit up, not like when it flahes with the hazards on.

I have rechecked the wiring in the front blinkers and it all seems ok

Any ideas?

Earth wire in the front blinker or not connected properly.

Well I need to lend the car to my brother by Tuesday night so I just took it to an auto electrician.

Hopefully it's not too painful.
