Are there any rubber seals or anything available to cover up the existing aerial hole If a bee sting is what people decide to go with?

People who have done the conversion?

Does anyone know if the Mk1 aerial delete will fit the Mk2? Giving part numbers to my local VW parts joint just confuses them. They start asking me for engine codes and tell me that my car doesnt actually exist etc

If they have it in stock (yeah right ) I can just order one without them having to worry about if it fits or not

If not will give the o-ring/plug kit a shot.

    cheers

If your going to keep the guard mounted solution, how about a power antenna! Not speaking from any experience, but I'm sure you could get something to fit, even if it takes some minor dremel action.

I've always been a fan of electic antenna's, but then I'm easily amused

Haha, it would amuse me too, but im happy with no antenna for now.

    I would suggest this...

Followed by a windscreen-mounted stealth antenna ($35 from ricebarn)

Not as smooth as Golfers finish but I got a 16mm rubber Grommit from Clark Rubber, looks like the proper Aerial delete (sorta) and seals the hole nicely, cost me a $1.65 too
