    I believe you can do it the other way too. I siliconed mine as I bolted them together, and the fact that you have to remove silicon from the mounting surfaces after pulling them apart from the original factory assembly would suggest that they dont dry assemble and then silicon... Mine pushed the silicon out the edge where it was spread as a bead around the rim. A mate who works at a wheel repair shop helped me with them.

    Nice wheels, though. I think they are almost the same dimensions as mine. I heart RS...

    I did quite a bit of research on rebuilding the BBS's. Everywhere I read it was recommended that you do it dry. When BBS assemble the wheels they use a special vacuum/pressure machine that 'pulls' the wheel parts together.

    The main problem I have read about when people put silicon between the pieces is that when the silicon shrinks the torque on the bolts changes which could lead to leaks.

    Hmmm.... Hopefully no problems then.... Image wheels, who made my wider outers, reccomended the way I did it as well.... No probs yet a year on...
