    Water Pump help

    I took a water pump from a mk2 GL 8v.

    What i need help with is, will it fit my gti. Mechanic says it doesnt everything els says it will.
    MK1 GLS 3door
    A4 B7 2.0T

    There's only 2 kinds of pumps on ETKA for 1.6-2.0 litre cars. One for KR/PL and PG engines and the other for everything else. So unless you got one off a 16valve or G60 it'll go one.

    There is also 2 ways to buy the pump. On it's own or with the housing.

    If you get the housing one, which I would always do because splitting the old pump off the housing is always a b itch of a job. The power steering pump and air con compressor have to come off to get access to it.

    It will fit, but I wouldnt use a second hand one.

    Looks brand new or maby its reconditioned. Ill talk to dad and see how it goes, will deffenatly get the cable off ya though.

    Check the size of the boss where the pulley goes on. The 1.8> are a smaller size. Thats the only difference,

    get a part number up mate then we can search it on vortex or something- zipties might work hehe
