Probably better without that restrictor. KE Jet has a different startup system and I think the pressure is different.
Tested the WUR...Everything seems fine there.
Cold start injector is working fine and not leaking.
I'll check main Injectors if problem persists :-S
One thing i did notice, that I have taken out.( dont recon it will make much differance )
The resivour that i got is for both K and KE ....The KE jetronic runs a second pressure valve in the resivour where the fuel enters the resivour...( little white sleeve with a rubber ball and spring ).....In the manual it states the KE and Motronic run this valve and the K doesn't .....
So ive just popped this out so its exactly the same as the one that came out now......
Not shure if this would cause any problems having it in there or not, but by the look of it it seems it would restrict flow to some degree.
This thing.
fits into the inlet on the resivour on KE and Motronic
Came in the Resivour so i've now popped it out and is now the way it was before with the old one...
Here is where the ball and spring sits.
Doubt it would cause issues either way???
Just been out, motor still cold ( only ran it for about 1 min thismorning) and starts fine again...
I'll try and start it early in the morning and see what symptoms i get then...
Cheers, Benny

Yeah Ke is different , you have to check system pressure and control pressure. Ive still got my K jet book from the course i did in 1989!!! ill have a look and if i can send you some that might help ya. I personally think you are having a drop in residual pressure which can be a dribbly injector or something else. Mate take off the feed at the meter head and pulse the punmp and fill a beaker of fuel and check the fuel condition. K ket hates crap and water in fuel makes it go out of whack. Just before i left Porsche i had a K jet 911 turbo that wouldnt even rev up. I had to drain the tank in that thing and replace the injectors and then set up the system of course , CO and all. Set the plate height and strip and clean the warm up reg. Mate while i write just had a thought have you opened up your warm up reg????? it can get rusty in there. This does affect pressure too. The Porsche one i stripped and cleaned it and that thing went like stink after all of that.

I'll update you on what happens! lol.
Thanks for all the Help pplz =).

A leaking injector is the cause i would imagine.
Started up on 3 cyl thismorning, fuel smoke, gave it a boot full of revs and then it was fine. Starts and runs fine once its been running for a few mins.
Taking it in to consult with Allan Cash (merc specialist in launnie) tomorrow.
Going to get him to do a bit of a check on the whole system and get her all running as it should...
I'm considering selling the car, so I want to know that everything is A1...
Update you all once its sorted..
thanks for pointing me in the right direction pplz ...

I had a similar problem on my mk2 gti some years ago and it baffled me trying to find the issue with system. Mine ran rough at idle until it warmed up and would sound like it was on two or three cylinders for the first 30 seconds of running or less. I ended up pulling off the K-jet and replacing it with a full programable system but when i stripped it all down i found my warm up regulator mounted on the block was coroded inside and would have been the issue of my dramas. It would be the part i would check carefully in your case.
Nah it isnt the WUR...
This will idle fine after it plays up if u rev it up to clear the plug of fuel...
then runs, idles and does everything right......
Think the nail was hit on the head early.......
Went to take it to the Merc specialist to see if he could do the injectors...He has retired...lol.
I'd be 99.9 % shure it a slow leak in the injector(s).....
I've found it only does it after its left for over about 15 hrs or so...
went for a run lastnight at 10ish...started fine at 8 thismorning....
Left it all day at work, fired fine at 5.30...
Going to rip the injectors out on sat and see if ive got any leakage....
....
What usually cause the leaking Injector??
Will they possibly just need a new seal kit??
Or a new unit.... Ive never really done any research on the injectors themselves
Talked to a local bosch outlet..they said in most cases a new seal kit will fix it...
5 dollars a kit...for each injector.

The injector themselves are a sealed unit. There's really not much inside them. There's a tiny filter and a tiny pintle valve. The only moving parts are the spring and the pintle itself.
The seal kit won't stop them from leaking fuel but it might help with idle issues.
They're really easy to get out btw, just pull on them! they're only held in by the o rings in that seal kit. If they're stubborn use two screwdivers either side of the injector and lever off the rocker cover.
The seal kit is the o rings in the bag in this pic.
The brass things are the injector holders, designs vary.
Pete
Yeah you will have to replace them if they are dribbling mate.

ok, cool..
Ill go see the local Petroject...
I don't have any idle problems, only Idle problem it the fueled up plug...give it a good rev and it clears ... idle is fine even when dead cold.
But I would say that is exactly what it is..
Good thing i just got tax back..haha.
I'll inspect them on the weekend and order some new ones next week if thats what it turns out to be..
Thanks again PPL.
Keep you informed.
