ah crap think i blew my computer

well today i was decoding the VW fuse box which as we all know is like reading jiberish, and i was laughing for one moment because i fixed my power windows that someone snipped but then i managed to touch the bodywork from the fuse box pin and a little spark hit me! thinking im amazing i go to start the car and no spark no spark i tell u! so i test with my mate and we find theres no pulse from the dizzy, ignition coil is ok and still no spark, so its either my ecu or dizzy we think, anyone done this before?

I would check your ecu relay fuse first.

In the fusebox, I think it is in position 3, top row of the main fusebox. 3 from the left.

The dissy can cause those symptoms, if the hall sender has failed, no output to the ECU so it doesn't know the engine is turning.

You can get Hall senders from JAYCAR for $20.

I would be willing to bet the fuel pump runs briefly when you flick the key on. Proving the pump is ok.
