1.8t doner

Hi all
A few questions on doner cars for a 1.8t conversion.
Most of what I've seen is the gearbox need to be a o2j or was it O2a. Never the less will a polo GTI engine/gearbox fit happerly using the same mounts or are there any audi s which can be use as a doner engine / gearbox combos
Ps I'm looking at mechanically only - disregard electrics.

IN short can I use the polo gti or a audi Of some model as a complete mechanical doner utilising the origional mounts. Or is the mk4 gti the only one.

Ps I know they're will be clutch and gear mech mods required

There are many threads with 1.8T builds. Gearbox Flanges, ECU and electrical supply, loom integration and wiring to the Mk2 MFA dash and a little planning ahead won't do you harm
