I used to have a Mk2 Escort. There wasn't so much a floorpan as a road inspection portal.

We had a Datsun 120Y station wagon in burnt orange when I was a kid.
That thing was indestructable.

Hah, the funny thing is I am actually basing my experience in this on my mothers 120y sedan. She drove it until she was defected for rust. Then it turned into a paddock basher until it rusted into unusable.

I've also witnessed some poor people buying bargain chassis' only to find out they were rusted through.

Lol yeah sounds like they probably haven't stood up to the elements too well since the mid 80s when we had one...
