Reviving an old thread. Trying to register on vwgolf.net.au but the captcha verification on their registration page is not working. Would someone already registered please contact a mod and get them to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Im still a moderator on the vwgolf.net.au forum despite me telling them about 3 years ago that i had sold my car and no longer wanted to be a moderator. Any new members that actually manage to register get blocked until the forum owner releases them - which is never. I still get messages from new members who are blocked from posting asking for help - but only the forum owner can unblock them, and he never replies to emails or messages so i have well and truly given up.

It used to be a really good forum about 3-4 years ago, but has died in the ar$e now.

Thanks for the heads up. Among other things I specifically wanted to get in touch with someone that wanted to swap a non res mk5 gti cat back for a resonated one. Perfect for my son who wants to do exactly the opposite. I'll just post a wanted in this forum I guess.

captcha died over there in 2017 from memory so no one can register or get their lost passwords back. I know plenty of people have offerred to help out or take over running it over the years, myself included. I'd hate to see another forum die and lose all that history. For the moment at least it still works as a hisotrical record (and forum for those still active).
