    Driving from QLD to ACT

    Hi guys,

Just after a bit of advice - i'm going for a quick trip from QLD to ACT in the next couple of weeks, and my mate at work reckons I should get a car bra because he reckons there will be heaps of bugs and stones etc, and that it will damage the paintwork on the front of the car.

Is it worth the cost of a temp car bra for one trip? I'm kinda thinking there won't be too many bugs etc since its winter and I won't be driving at night.

anyon have any experience of driving interstate?

    Cheers,

If your in Qld and can attend the Euro Meet this friday night at Newmarket.. Rosemary and Tony from VR6 Pitcrew have 2 one for each of their cars. and Alex (maca) has one for his jettadore lol. They would be the best to help you out I would think.

I bought a Cobra bonnet car bra off eBay for $55 delivered from Turkey... Having driven between Townsville and Sydney many times, I really recommend one. If you don't want to pay the cash, just go to Bunings and buy a roll of masking tape to tape up the paintwork on your car... This works a treat!!

hmmm, from the photos that cobra one only covers the bonnet and not the grill / bumper etc or are the photos not correct on the ad?
othwerwise $55 is totally worth it

Also I'm kinda wondering whether its better to just pay for a touch up IF any damage occurs since its only a once off drive.

Yeah, that's what I have... Bonnet bra...

Like I said in my earlier post, why not pay $20 and get a roll of masking tape and tape up the front of your car... This way you only pay $20, and not heaps more if you need to touch up your paint....

It's not the stone chips you have to worry about.
