Will prices go back up after the current Volksfest special?

    As titled.

I want to wait for the 2014 Mazda 3 to make a decision which to buy. Although the specials going on now certainly is very tempting towards a VW golf.

What are the chances of the prices going back to normal after the current Volksfest finishes on the 31st Oct 2013?

I would have thought with the impending new Mazda 3 in January, VW would not want to raise their price to remain competitive.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on sales figures. With the gti coming out soon it will help bolster the golf 7 sales, as a high proportion of golf sales are typically gti here in Australia.

I imagine that golf sales will still be lower than what VWA would have projected for this period 12 months ago (prior to poor PR hitting the media), with that in mind price is probably slightly in the buyer's favour when it comes to negotiations. Just my opinion though.

Edit: Forgot to mention - you should never pay sticker price, it's a starting point in negotiations.
MKV Golf 2.0 TDI DSG Sportline. Just nice.

You do know that the price of the new Mazda 3 will rise on it's release. You don't think they will be selling them at their current runout price.

Look at the reports on the new Mazda 3 in Europe and the USA... they are bring up the high price on desirable models. It's not going to be a cheap car anymore.
