What is it with p platers in commodores?

I'm amazed at how many "lets race" I get when driving my car, its loud, low and shiny wheels so its a 'must want to race' car , I don't get commadores though, WRX's are the killer in Canberra... I think they actually grow on trees here ... they cut through traffic to catch up then rev there engine next to me while driving, swerve all over the place and if not for brakes nearly wipe out the front end of my car when they realise I'm not going to race and cut me off

Always gold when they stall though and the old guy who holds up traffic beats them

Idiot's and i apologise if i offended anyone by stereotyping commodores i was just angry.. but I did have half the mind to nock the smile of his face with a bit of german engineering :/ but then i would be dropping down to their level.. oh well rant over now.. People have their own choice to race or not but why do they have to treat it like a fight? Wouldn't it be more fun for everyone if they treated it like a game?

I had a p plater forester go me on the highway early one morning.
At 5am on a weekend I decided to let him have it. He tried 3 times and lost them all. I don't think he could admit the fact he got beaten by a older golf.

didn't get his number plate as he was parallel to my car, and also if he wanted to get and have a go at leads pull up away from a highway junction where there's cars all around us.. that way it put's any other cars in danger.. but if he can't take banter at the end of the day he shouldn't give what he can't take.. that's what i was told growing up in an old mining town in the north of england.. but anyhow, i'm over it now.. at lest i have the satisfaction of know my vdub would have left his commonwhore..

I personally love the way that the people on here are just as biased about their own make of car and yet see nothing hypocritical at blasting those who are biased about the car they happen to drive.

Don't talke **** to people if you aren't prepared to deal with the consequences is the lesson to take from this.

i'm not being biased but my vr6 would've ate his commodore.. and i know it's not the quickest around but neither is a commodore s.. As far as dealing with the consequences can't do much at a busy junction with cars all around us which could've easily took my rego and reported it to the police..

Mate I drive a Commodore, a V8 Commodore, there are like 6 cars on this forum that can beat my ****box and i can tell you they cost a **** tone more than 10k. I acknowledge the car is cheap and poorly built or whatever you wanna say about it but for less than 10k i could get a bora at most and there slow and uncomfortable and my gf drives one.

It may be bad but I also instantly stereotype any p-plater in a commodore as they often are as derelict as they come, they get a cheap fuly sick commodore and do mad skids. I've had abuse yelled and junk thrown at my car after leaving a commodore for dead at the lights when they pulled up and started revving. Just ignored it and carried on.

I understand your frustration but you need to understand mine.
I have loved VW since as far back as i can remember. I have 5 Volkswagens and a Merc, one VW has a 8v that will make your vr6 looks stupid and another has a stereo, alone, in it that cost more than your VR6.
What really gets me is douche bags like yourself who **** it up for the rest of us who are actually in to cars and respect another enthusiast whatever their taste might be. Racing and **** measuring is a part of being an enthusiast, talking **** is part of being a hater and takes the fun out of it.

If a young bloke pulls up next to you and asks for a race there is no need to be a fag, either give it a go or say no. Here is a though, say his car is quicker than yours, that way your not a prick OR just show him his car is slow. He didn't insult you or your car so why do the same to him?

I think everyone is annoyed at the idiots and dero's in commodores but they drive fords too, and nissans and toyotas and looks like they drive vr6's now too. An idiot is an idiot regardless.
