    What colour

So my Scirocco has had all the metalwork done and is now at the paintshop. i need to decide on a colour.

Its silvery grey at the mo and I hate grey and silver.

the engine is in and running, so would be nice if exterior colour was not a million miles differentfrom the engine bay, but I can live with it or paint it later.

I have been looking at blues or greens, and I like Genuine VW Colours.

My top two so far are

    Helios Blue (LA5Y)

And Green Pearl Effect which has a couple of shades (LC6U) or (LC6V)

    What do you blokes reckon?
Any suggestions accompanied by a photo or paint code gratefully accepted.

The green looks much better than the blue you put up Matt.

I wanted to suggest a metallic brown that came from Porsche but I don't have a pic of it on a Mk2 Scirocco nor the specific paint code!

unless you plan to do the engine bay and doorjams in future I would go stock or only a slightly different shade. Unmatched paint really cheapens the look of a car. Especially one that people will want to see what she has under the bonnet.

Having said that the stock grey is pretty dull isnt it.

I agree with Tim, a colour change would be wrong Matt. A repaint in the std colour is the way to go IMO.

There's a Pearl Grey, I forget the code but that looks mint when it's fresh.

I reckon it was a Mk2 colour, Rallyes had it.

Flares and bumpers are all being colour coded.

Dood Jams, boot, everywhere is being painted. Except engine bay.

I`m gonna enjoy having the working 20VT, rather than rip it out and have a shiny shell again. Been there before.

If I take the engine out fopr any reason I will paint it then.

I really dont like silver or grey and the American has a black one. I think 2 black roccos might be a bit much for one workshop.
