It's not silly. They go on the outside. That way they don't screw with your tint or your electric heater in the window.

are they OK in a car wash then ?

I've never had a problem, but then I don't tend to use car washes much.

Mind you when I tried to remove one with a high pressure spray it took some coaxing but it did take it off. (with the spray head right up near it).

I've always found vinyl stickers to be very resilient to both automatic and high pressure carwashes.

I still need to get arpund to putting mine on. It's a tough thing to commit to, I know.
