    VW vs Motorbike

    Hi Guys,

Got this on a email the other day. Couldn't for the life of me get the pics out of the email so just did some quick screen shots (explains why two images are one)

If you don't like seeing dead MK3s look away now..

    The story goes:

"The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a mobile phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The riders reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place. All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department.
Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be new drivers, or new motorcycle owners AND ESPECIALLY EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAS A MOBILE PHONE!!!!!
A picture is worth a thousand words."

Also im sure someone will ask the obvious how did they get the bodys out without pulling the car and bike apart... but still..

    *sigh*

    repost (I am pretty sure).

The scene was re-created (set up) to depict what happened in a smash sometime previously. This was not THE accident vehicles. This one is so old, I think it's about done it's useful life.

I have seen it on here atleast twice, and saw it the first time about 6 years ago I think when it was doing the internet rounds.

    Don't you worry, dylan8.

I'm sure many of us have not seen it before.

I certainly haven't trawled back through 6 years of posts on every thread.

well it was only last year that a girl killed a pushbike rider whilst texting, wasnt it?

was that in melbourne? i forget. inexcusable. she should have been sent to prison, rather than some sorry "well, yes the guy is dead and his family is wrecked but she didnt MEAN to kill him when she was texting, so its fine, really..." excuse.

saw the most shocking thing today in sydney , Ermington (silverwater Rd) at 1pm.

I didn't see the actual accident, but the aftermath of it just horrific! It was a Hyundai Getz and a Motorbike (i'm assuming it is a bike). The Hyundai was turning right (off ramp, exiting), but the driver never saw the motorbike coming and bang! (bike was travelling at least 80kph, speed limit was 80)

here is a photo I took. The car is in the middle of the photo. Far left next to the yellow sign you'll see a white blanket (covering a dead body). Out of the photo to the left of that was a Careflight Helicopter.

Rear end of the car is gone, inc the rear tailgate window.
