VW Driving Experience is back!

Tickets are going on sale on the 15th of April.

Great news is that this year they will be bringing the event to both Adelaide and Perth (as well as Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne).

For those that didn't get the email, here's the locations/dates:

Perth - Barbagallo Raceway 26–28 May

Adelaide - Mallala Motor Sport Park 15–18 June

Sydney - Sydney Motorsport Park 29 June–2 July

Melbourne - Phillip Island Circuit 3–6 August

Brisbane - Lakeside Park 7–10 September


Tickets go on sale at 12:00pm on Wednesday 15th April. As with previous years, tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

Sydney and Melbourne sold out in the first few days last year from memory, though there were a few more tickets released later (tickets that were reserved for dealers/corporate guests but not taken up).

In past years you had to do the Progression course first before they let you go on the Evolution course. I'm pretty sure this will be the case again this year. Though you can do both courses back to back on the same day (or consecutive days). I'd actually recommend not doing morning/afternoon sessions on the same day. You'll get more out of it if you split it up.

Shame it's not the APR Stage 1 version of the R
I'll leave it for first-timers. Will be my first year not going down for a drive since starting. I'd rather put the funds for the Audi R8 day towards a bike that can go as fast.

Progression - new Polo GTI and Golf GTI Performance

Evolution - Golf R and Scirocco R

My dad and I have booked in for the Evolution course in Sydney, on the afternoon of Tuesday June 30. This will make the third track I've done VW Driving Experience courses at.

I'm also booked on the Evolution course but in Adelaide this year - good to see VW back in SA and WA.

Also noticed that Melbourne is now fully booked out only 24 hours after going on sale!!!
