Well just checked the website and the dates for the course are up!!!!

Visit the Volkswagen Driving Experience site here: Volkswagen Driving Experience

    In short:

"We are excited to announce that the Volkswagen Driving Experience is back in 2014 and tickets will go on sale Monday the 12th of May.

There will be two types of course available in 2014; the Progression course for the confident drivers wishing to learn more and for those that have previously completed the Progression course, there is the Evolution course which is designed to elevate drivers skill from reactionary to proactive.

This year the Volkswagen Driving Experience will be held at:

    Brisbane: Lakeside Park 16 - 19 June

Sydney: Sydney Motorsport Park 28 July - 1 August

Melbourne: Phillip Island Circuit 29 September - 2 October

To be notified as soon as tickets have gone on sale, please register your interest below.

As with previous years, tickets are expected to sell out quickly."

So there you go. SA and WA miss out again

I've already signed up for the Audi S-class one in May... for the price of a new RNS510... ouch. Hopefully it's more 'evolved'.

Do you get a discount for being a VW driver???

Do you know what cars you drive in this?

I mean the price of the VW course is pretty entry level so you can't expect too much. I reckon you'd almost get the $ value just in wear and tear and petrol.

Is the Audi one a full-day event? I'm guessing you get a bit more time on the track with lapping sessions in different cars.

I established that the entry level Audi course (all day) was similar to the VW ones driving Audi A- and Q-series. The next one is also all-day, not 100% sure what it entails beyond the brochure on their website.

Be interested in your feedback on this one and unfortunately out of budget for this year

Did they let you enter this course without doing the Audi entry level program?

The brochure/website says you have to complete the "Advanced" level course first before going to "Performance".

I'm guessing if you've done the VW Progression and Evolution courses that you'd pretty much qualify based on hours in the car and given that it's the same group of instructors and very similar cars (engine/performance/handling).

It took a few back and forth emails but they were pretty nice to deal with. Steve Pizzati checked out my VW certificates and I also included a YouTube video of my laps around PI. I don't think they'd appreciate lots of VWDE guys trying the same thing though (from a time/hassle perspective), so don't anyone mention me as an example

Let us know how it goes.
Luckily you get to try it out in someone else's car before you tackle it for happy laps.
