    Volvo troubles

Just trying to avoid joining a Volvo forum for a few simple things.

    1. CV: Noisey when turning, I can see the boot closest to the wheel is torn, is there a chance this is just a boot, or the outter CV being stuffed (stuffed is my assumption so far).

    2. Pulsing at idle, and high reving when Drive/Reverse is engaged. Constantly high when in gear, but goes between 2000-2700ish in Neutral and Park. What should be the first attack point, throttle body clean out?

It's getting a proper mechanic to work on everything, but he's only in Brisbane for a short period of time and I want to have parts sorted as best I can.

    1. ur CV is rooted. The boot has torn, let dirt in and will remain noisey as grit chews it out. Its more of an annoyance than a major issue for a fair while, but will eventually crap itself
