I have no doubts that there are lawyers who chase every dollar. But just a warning to their customers, make sure that the only money they get isn't yours. In other word you go home with nothing.
I would imagine that the Courts might decide to combine the cases if they thought them similar enough, unless the seperate law firms argue that they are different for some reason. If that argument is accepted, then the seperate cases must be considered entirely on their merits, which is very much dependent on the level of evidence presented and the calibre of prosecuting and defending lawyers - so I would think different outcomes quite possible.

A reminder to everyone when it comes to legal advice (and any advice in general) provided by anyone on this forum:
It may be stating the obvious, but remember that you are dealing with (in many cases) nameless, faceless strangers who may or may not be more informed that you are, have different circumstances, different motives and different values. Personal opinions are just that, they may help with your own train of thought, but any legal/financial decisions should be approached with a great deal of caution. Read the fine print, understand the risks of what you are choosing to do and if in any doubt consult with a professional.

Hyundai had the same thing, but didn't see a peep of it mentioned here, I think in the US a class action took them to town over unrealistic MPGs.
