Yes, I am pulling these numbers out of the air, but I'm talking about a change against the totality of the car. If you calculated your 20% increase in fuel consumption over the remainder of your ownership of the car as a change against every aspect of the car (looks, comfort, performance, utility, etc), it would be a very small increase indeed.
