Maybe it’s time to close this thread to help them to move on.

Shh, if the Ranger isn't around I reckon we could tackle this in a diesel VW.

A diesel Ford Ranger would not be allowed that far off-road (they could set fire to the National Park):

They didn't cheat. They passed the test. Unless you're conducting the test on real roads in real traffic in real world conditions the test is useless.

"You have to meet these requirements on a dyno"

    "OK"

    *requirements met*

Passed. End of story. Time to move on.

I just get the giggles every time I think about Mazda engineering the BT-50/Ranger diesel 4WD ute without the ability to take it off-road . . . it like when I see the 4WD-ers who insist on carrying their bright orange recovery boards on their 4WD around town without a single spec of dust, dent or vegetation scratch on the paintwork on it. I guess some of the potholes can get a bit big around town after the storms

If you really don't have much faith in the VW product, perhaps sell it and move on?

We're here because we're all VW enthusiasts. Bashing the brand isn't going to make you very popular on here at all.

I wish I was a Judge! There wouldn't be all these soft leftist BS sentences that's for sure!

I would prefer surgery on me to be carried out with AR assisting. Bring on the surgeon that uses Google glasses (or equiv. tech) I say!

No judgements have been handed down in Australia.

And ford ranger was not highest selling 4wd in Aus last year - that was Toyota hilux (as per usual for the last several years).

There is one particular member here who just seems to want to troll. Time for them to move on perhaps?
