Just came across something in an online ETKA. This might help explain why many 2012 cars are not under the recall.

I checked a 7 speed dsg under a 2014 jetta and it shows that VW changed back to G052171A2 in November 2012 going forward.
Between the end of May 2011 till early November 2012 VW was putting mineral oil (G052512A2 which is the same oil they are putting in recalled vehicles now) in their 7speed dsg. That's why us 2012 owners don't seem to be part of the recall but 2013 owners are.
Also before the 30th of May 2011 VW was using the synthetic oil(G052171A2) they are now switching out which is why owners with vehicles from before were under the 35C1 recall for new mechatronic and automatically got mineral oil added.
I'm sure anyone with an up to date ETKA can confirm these dates.
As someone stated earlier in here: 2012 was a good year!
Edit: So checked the parts catalog for a 2013-2014 Golf 7 and it shows a production change again for the oil used in the DQ200 back to G-052-512-A2 mineral oil.

So...any updates? My country still hasn't gotten an official list from VW of vehicles to recalled.
Has anyone noticed that Passat owners rarely ever complain of mechatronic unit failures?
