Volkswagen Australia Magazine - lack of care

Spot the careless editorial/graphic design decision on this page.

It is a shame, the majority of people that read this I am assume would be enthusiasts, but some more observant than others.

    Correct

    1983 ain't the 70's in my book.

The Volkswagen Golf Mk2 succeeded the Mk1 as Volkswagen's volume seller from 1983 and remained in (German) production until late 1992.

It isn't a Mk5+ so the person who did that probably doesn't know the difference.

To be honest I only got into the VW scene due to the mk4 and i can appreciate the mk3 onwards but i have no knowledge of the differences between the mk1 and 2 so as Matt said, they probably had no idea and drive a mk5 or newer vw.

Having siad that it should have been checked.

Yeah dude. If you're writing for a magazine, you really should know what you're talking about.

    Definitely.
Someone should write a letter telling them that they had the wrong decade (unless they were just using the pictures as an example of the golf throughout the 30 year period.

i wouldn't have a clue about the car but why is the Luxemburg (possibly Netherlands) flag coming out the back end of the car?

    I think you'll probably find it's just a graphic, not a flag..
