Video test. Race data overlayed on footage.

Didn't know where else to put this. I'm just stuffing about testing some video footage from the weekend and seeing if I can mash it up with the data logger output.

Can you all see this OK?

Not sure how well all the detail up top will show up and the two time lines might be a little out of whack.

Data came out of my Google phone, an HTC Desire
Data logger app is from Trackmaster. Trackaroo - Welcome
    Data manipulation by MS Excel
Camera is a GoPro Hero HD GoPro Official Store: Wearable Digital Cameras for Sports
Editing software is Pinnacle Studio 12.

That's a whole lot o tech to pull together, but that's what I do.

Footage is from Sandown sprints 9/5/10 from the dashboard of my MK1.

Original footage is pretty crisp I've tried to find a compression compromise that'll be viewable in line in the thread. HD should show up as an option once it's rendered too.

Turn up the noise and listen the the twin Dellortos do their stuff.

    Awesome video and logging.
The engine note in that video is unreal, sounds very tough.
Seems to top out around 145km/h?

Top recorded speed is about 170 at the entry to turn 1.

Motor is a 2.0 MK3 bottom end with an 1800 worked head and twin 40mm Dellortos.

But does the video look OK?

The video quality is really good, very good capture compared to a lot of the onboard camera videos i have seen.
It is also displayed in a reasonable aspect ratio on youtube to allow us to see what you are doing but also give us the detailed information at the top.

I can see a lot of Android users getting on this.

I'm on a different PC today and it looks a bit dark to me too.

I should be able to up the brightness a bit in the editor.

The original footage looks OK , the camera is set to spot meter off the centre of the frame.
