Haha, I was just pulling the piss. I like the idea of them, but they just look so bad!! I don't doubt how good Vibram are, I use them in my every day work boots (Belleville 509D boots) and my cross country runners (North Face), with both of these having Vibram soles.
Don't let my opinion of them put you off buying them.

but then you'll think we're gay, haha...

it'd be funny to see if certain other aussie car forums know about this thread... to some of their members, VAG (as well as watercooled) is already gay. thanks to these shoes, we have the chance to be extra-doubly gay.

that being said, i think the design is good, and it'd be interesting to see vibram do something like this with snowboard boots.

This forum is a billion times better than the Ford one I left behind buying the Golf, the amount of infighting there was just ludicrous. I had 400 posts there over three years with similar tinkering, bit more activity on here in the same timeframe....

The black KSOs I abused for the last two years
Interesting reviews on Amazon. Not sure they ship to Oz though and their prices are higher than kayakshed.com's

Some sellers ship to oz, but if you have mates over there, that is never an issue.

Just got my new fivefingers delivered! Parcel forwarding works a treat by the looks of it and all up paid a few dollars less than what the online US shop (who then canceled my order-Vibram policy...) would have charged me. Not too bad at $132 at my door vs $200 in shops here. If they got stock that is, the Trekk Sport model is yet to hit our shores.
    Very happy with priceusa.com.au

Let us know how you find them, I am keen to get a pair as I jog around my local golf course and think some five finger shoes would be ideal to strengthen my feet.

I already said that I've been using them for over two years now... Just got my second pair, a slightly more rugged version. They feel like you've instantly grown very thick skin on your feet so you can walk barefooted everywhere. Trust me, after a while you simply forget they're on at all. Not surprising because they're so anatomically "correct", flexible and light (only 120g on each foot).
