    VAG tow cars

Been covering a lot of kilometres around UK last few weeks and couldn't help notice the variety of VAG group sedans and wagons hauling caravans. Passed an A4 yesterday which had a twin axle at least 16' long in tow!
Makes you wonder why local van manufacturers can't produce vans light enough for "euro" spec cars to tow?

Different laws, especially ones that apply to physics.

In the UK, its apparently perfectly fine to Range Rover on a car trailer with a Fiat Panda. What could possibly go wrong?

Indeed. See lots of rather small SUV's hauling substantial vans. Despite this didn't come across any more caravans in strife than you'd see on Australian roads. I'm guessing most are towing with diesel manuals as well, including the VAG cars.
