I don't use torrent sites. But "The Scene" has been releasing them each week. Thus far in Season 2 they've aired 7 episodes, and "Momentum" have released a 720p HDTV x264 version of each.

While Top Gear Australia may not be up there where I would like it to be, I would still watch that any day rather than all these stupid cooking shows, talent shows, real estate shows and all the other dross out there. Back to surfing Austar for car shows then I guess.....

Agreed. Sure it wasn't as good as it could have been, but on plain face value it was still 'ok'. Better than zoom tv or all the other local car shows that are basically automotive infomercials. If i watched TGA with the TGUK reference point in the back of my mind, yes it sucked.
I had to keep reminding myself to not compare them by thinking "oh, jeremy would've said this, and hammond wouldn't have done it like that"... blah blah, but its so hard to get that pre-conceived idea of what TopGear should be out of your head!!

And yeah, i was also thinking how i could present it better than that.

No it wasn't. It was absurd no matter what way you looked at it.

It was not a comparison between TGA and TGUK that made it bad, but that the presenters actually thought they could tru and copy not just the format, but the "characters" of TGUK.

The show could never succeed because car manufacturers and distributors were not prepared to provide any vehicles for review as when they were returned, they were essentially junked. This was what happened with the first series with different presenters (except one), and the original plus two others were at it again.

They forgot what the show was all about. It was not a show where they could live out their childhood fantasies where they crashed cars into each other like they did with their "Hotwheels" cars. They were supposed to present cars and motoring issues to the public and have a little fun doing it. The problem is that they did not.
