    TMTUNING.com

    Hi guys,

I was looking to find out from those that have ordered items from these guys, your experience in regards to their delivery times.

With my order, I had paid for ‘Air Plus’ shipping.. The invoice I received from them promised that the item would arrive on or before the 20th of February. It’s coming up to two months since the order was placed, and the email correspondence from them pretty much said: “that the expected delivery time has now been changed to *insert the date that this email was sent on* lol..

There’s no tracking on the parcel so yeah.. This is the first time I’ve bought something from TMTUNING, so I’m keen to hear from those that have previously.

    Thanks!

Hi there, I have dealt with them before and was happy with the service and delivery. I did not have to wait long, you might want to ring or email them to check and see what is going on. I do notice delivery times from Europe/UK are not as quick as from the US. Contact them you should be ok, they are a reputable company.

I've ordered from them and was not overly impressed. I was told my order would arrive 2-3 weeks after placing the order. 9 weeks later I eventually got it.

I was emailing then regularly after 4 weeks of nothing. First I was told that it had been sent and should have arrived already. After numerous emails I finally revived my order, and interestingly the post mark on the package was dated 1 week prior to reviving it - which means it wasn't sent until I made a fuss.

They did refund the postage, which was good. Though I was more happy about receiving my order finally.

I suggest that you follow them up regularly, like every second day.

Depends on what you order. They are like a middle man and do not carry stock in a lot of cases and sources from suppliers inGermany or the US. Before I order I always ask is this a stock item. A few sites operate this way so be wary. Parts 4 Euro is another site that operate this way.

This maintains their cash flow. They will take your order bank your money and then order the part. Cash comes in and then they do not have to pay their suppliers until a later dated depensing on their trading terms. Meanwhile your cash payemnt sits in their bank giving them instant credit.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Nothing's arrived yet, and no email responses have been received from them. Yay.

By paying for 'Air Plus' I thought my parcel would be handled by a courier with tracking, apparently not - it's with general post. Double yay.
It might be a long shot, but do you think AusPost will have any sort of record for it?

Moving forward, I guess all I can do now is smash TMT with emails. Triple yay.

Thanks Brendan_A I took your advice and started smashing them with emails. I was eventually able to get a partial refund for the shipping.

    Now for the fun part.

I sent them an email last week requesting yet another update, bloke told me that they quote: "have looked into this with the shipping company and they could not locate the package. And since it is so far over the due date I fear that it may have been lost in transit.
I can arrange for a new package and order to be organized and we will also upgrade the shipping method to a faster service for you"

I replied saying yes, if you can get my order (a grille) out to me by the end of the month that would be my preference over a refund (since I've already waited this long..)

This morning he replied with: "I am sorry but we would not be able to guarantee delivery by the end of the month. It would take 2 weeks apprx. The hofele badges are unfortunately no longer deliverable. You would have to choose a different item or we can refund you for the badges.

    Badges?! I didn't order f***ing badges! I've had enough, I asked for a refund.

One of the reasons I went to TMT was because a lot of guys on here recommended them, had a positive experience etc.

    Me personally: Never again.

This isn't an isolated case and can be said for pretty much every company unfortunately. Sometimes things get messed up. It's life. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but this is one of the perils of importing equipment yourself.

I for one have enough trouble sometimes doing it in bulk! Haha.

I've personally never dealt with TMT, but I have been told they were alright from other people?

I had to wait ages for some stuff I ordered but it did eventually turn up.

I will add that I also ordered some stuff from another German supplier who sent it using German air post which is handled by DHL and this did have tracking information. Tracking the progress went like this:
    1. DHL received parcel 2 days after order
    2. Parcel sat at DHL local dispatch for 2 weeks before forwarded to international dispatch
    3. Parcel sat at international dispatch for 2 months before marked as in transit
    4. Parcel arrived a week later

And I thought the Germans would have had an efficient postal service

I've had packages go all over the place, get lost and then turn up back at the supplier before. I had a fairly large box disappear for 6 months last year.
