    Tint-A-Car Octane Tint

    Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has had the above tint done on their cars.. I'm thinking of using that tint but I'd love to see examples and pics of how dark and know of any pros and cons..

Currently I have no tint on my 2005 VW Polo (9n3) and it needs to change!!

I was told by SolarTint that its legally too dark for euros that come with factory tinted glass.

I went the top of the line Arctic stuff from SolarTint as it has IR filtering etc as well. Was $600 though..

Hi Mate, does your car have factory tinted glass? Or is it clear glass all round?
I used 'Octane' on my old VXR and may be able to pull up some pics for u.

My car didn't have factory tint.. Clear glass all round haha

I ended up going to a friend of mine (The Dent Man) who's also been doing window tint for the past 20years.. I got darkest legal (for Sydney, Aus) which is 65% heat and glare rejection.. It's the perfect dark, can see out perfectly fine during the day and night but at night if you try to look into my car it's virtually impossible unless it's sitting under lights which is exactly what I wanted bit of extra privacy and no more glare, don't know why I didn't do it earlier!!

It cost me $250 to get all windows tinted (minus the front windscreen obviously) and he said normal pricing is around $300 to $350, I highly recommend it and it has a lifetime warranty.. Tint a Car wanted to charge $460 for the exact same tint..
