Bought the race numbers and other stickers today, fitted the extinguishers on the weekend. Just need to pack and check the toolbox and we're ready to run.

Fantastic day, will post some videos from the GoPro cameras when I get home.

Best time for me was about 23.6 @ 230kph. Outright winner was an old commodore running a turbo Nissan engine that ran 19.9 @ 285+kph!

I had an easy class win. Not as fast as james though.

That "old commodore" ended up with a top speed of 297.5km/h. He was hoping for 300.
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

Didn't get a chance to do any video editing over the weekend, so just one quick video from my first run of the day:

The two Golf Rs did well - 26.16 and 25.96 were their best times - but ultimately suffered from a lack of big top-end power. Whilst a quarter mile drag is all about the launch and low-end acceleration, the 400m-1000m section is purely about big horsepower. The guys that were cracking sub-21sec were all running 600+hp - I don't know the specs of all the top cars but as an example the Pulse Racing Evo (20.41) was running about 850hp in a 1000kg shell.

Very proud of my wife also - she posted a 24.26 @ 225kph in her wagon and came home with two trophies for class victory (Unmodified Production > 6000cc) and Fastest Female.
