Unfortunately fog lights are not adjusted correctly and used when they should not. In the main, they are aimed to point upwards and because of this they can blind oncoming drivers.

People can be light sensitive because they have little or no pigment in the retina, but the point that seems to get forgotten is that they are FOG lights. You use them when there is fog. If car owners want additional lights, there is nothing stopping them from installing additional lights and meet the same requirements as normal lights.
I don't know of any manufacturer that enable the aim of fog lights to be adjustable. Where do you get "in the main they are pointed upwards"?

I hope you don't hold a position where you write traffic regulations

I think that he meant the foglights on the older cars.

The only time I used my rear fog
on the mk3 is when my taillight was out and I didn't want the cops to have an excuse to pull me over in my already illegal car. No one flashed me that one time so meh

It must be flat as a pancake where you live. Where I live, when I approach the crest of a hill and some tosser is coming over that hill from the opposite direction I can

....see by the light pattern that the fogs are on. As the oncoming car goes over the crest of the hill the light smack me in the eyes before the car is parallel to the road surface again. The low beams are not a problem. The fogs are.

Foggies angled in the right direction don't bother me too much...... what really bothers me is these wankers with their backyard installed HID kits that just absolutely blind you when oncoming and when on a motorway at night it feels as though a ****en UFO is overtaking you ! ****en retards .

I can live with front fogs, they are always pointed down and out anyway and they serve other purposes besides helping in fog, as said by the previous poster. I live in a rural area and there are a few neanderthals who think the correct moment to dip their high beam is when the oncoming driver is so blinded he starts to black out and swerve.
Dude, you have a 4Mo VR6!!! Just blast the muppet excel pilot with your VR goodness and send him on his lowly 4-pot way
