Speeding issues from new Guy - CAUTION !!!!

Caution all Leaded Footed car drivers and Heavy Throttle bike minded minded people.

Firstly, I am fairly new to this forum having recently bought a 04 Bora 4Motion. I need to vent my spleen and pass on a message without any lecture.

Last November I was riding my Yamaha FZ1 along the Old Pacific Highway (North of Sydney for those not familiar) and was clocked at 124 in a 60 on a country road plus other offences found on a memory card in my camera installed on a Tank Mount.
Today, being the 3rd Court case, I was convicted of Dangerous Driving giving me $3500 in fines and 3 years off the road. I have appealed the Severity with a best case senario of only 12 months off the road and fines will remain.
I drive delivering Medical Gases and minutes after walking out of court today phoned my boss (small company) to advise of outcome who contacted the owner and said they cannot utilise me anymore. A real shame as I was working out really well with them after joining only 7 weeks ago. I and the people I work with are really sad about the outcome.
Take from this what you will, this is my story….

24 July is the Appeal date. If a reduction to 12 months is not granted my Bora 4Motion will be for sale gunmetal grey in colour. Last week 4 new Bilstein B4 shocks were installed. 135kms on the clock all is working as it should. Continental Sport Contact 3's all round with heaps left on them all round. Alpine Head Unit with advanced blue tooth. All else is stock.

I'm in Dee Why NSW 2099. I hope this post is not inappropriate for this forum and a For Sale post could be posted in the correct area in the near future. Pre D day enquiries welcome now.

    Thanks for reading.

How did they go about getting the info from the camera? Is that something you are legally required to comply with handing over or did they bluff you at the time?

The cop told me has was legally allowed to take it however it is not the case. Unfortunately the Judge can look past something being illegally obtained by police so long as he/she believes it is evidence. I should have re-formatted the memory card if I acted quickly enough.

I'm sure I'm the only person who's ever gone over the speed limit.

    I don't think he's having a go at you.

He's just asking if you got a take-away from it.

I made a huge mistake when I was in my mid-20s and wrote off 4 cars in one accident. I could have chosen to continue on as if nothing had happened or change some aspects of my lifestyle. I chose the latter.

There's nothing wrong with making a mistake if you learn from it.

I hope you have a good barrister for the appeal. Did you retain a decent guy with traffic experience? There used to be a guy that advertised in AMCN. He was pretty good.
