    Jaycar FTMFW

Dad-in-law went down to our local Jaycar and got one of these puppies, and it works a treat. I even used it as a lantern on a trip to the shed, not that i will be able to when its mounted on a 12ft pole

Going back to buy the other 7 and mount them. Can't wait, should look awesome. Only downside is they appear to be a narrow beam rather than a nice bathing wide beam. Any way we can alter that perhaps?

maybe try to source some light diffusing plastic?
i'm thinking of the stuff that covers the flourescent strip lighting...
(maybe break up some old covers if you can find some, or ebay?)

Try aiming them along the driveway rather than across it, perhaps different heights too to get a better spread.

Mount them up temporarily initially and experiment with different layouts to get the best effect.
