Q: What's the difference between a photographer and a pizza?

A: A pizza can feed a family of four.

I shoot with a variety of cameras, none of them particularly fancy.

    1. Leica M3 with 35, 50 and 90mm lenses. Here's a few pics taken with this camera.

    2. Olympus 35RC with a fixed 42mm lens. Here's what it looks like from the back. Here are some of the pics I've taken with it.

    3. Some godawful ****box friggin Canon 35mm SLR with a crappy Tamron or maybe Sigma 28-200 lens. I took these photos with it. Can you guess I don't like it?
thats the problem with a full frame camera, theyll make all but the best of lenses look like sh#t, while shooting with them.and shooting with a tamron or sigma lense probably didnt help that much with your experiances with canon.hence i dont own a single lense made by tamron or sigma,...........sure they do the job but unfortunatly when you want the best results, more often then not youve goto pay for tht privelige.

    very nice pictures btw.

Actually, I'd kinda disagree with you on the full frame/lens thing. For various optical reasons I don't understand, a larger film/capture format is less demanding of it's optics. I get pretty good results with the Canon and the ****ty 28-200 considering how low end the system is. This is even more true for medium format systems.

The reason I hate the Canon is the ergonomics and functionality. It just doesn't agree with me.

I chose my Canon because of THOSE reasons!!!! Different strokes for different blokes I guess.

    Of course

I just happen to think the thumb wheel is retarded, the menus counterintuitive, and the handling exceptionally clunky.

Note that I am talking about an old 35mm slr, but I feel many of these issues apply to the current canon digital range, particularly the entry level models. The 400/450d in particular has terrible ergonomics; if you used it side by side with it's competitors from nikon or pentax you'd be in for a treat. Unles you have really really tiny hands.

Yeah I think that's what made me choose the 450D over the Nikon and Pentax... They felt a little chunky to me, especially the Pentax.

    Haha, Canon for little people?

Haha, definately user friendly, got myself a hand me down 30d for a few hundred bucks the other with a nice lense. Never realised how much of a skill it is to take pictures

Might post a few up if I get any 1/2 way decent ones...
