    Cheers mate.

BTW does anyone in Brissy have a car rig they'd be willing to lend me?

Haha mate, given that I've made a total of $9 from photography so far, I'd have to rank myself as a definite amateur!

Q: What's the difference between a photographer and a pizza?

A: A pizza can feed a family of four.

I shoot with a variety of cameras, none of them particularly fancy.

    1. Leica M3 with 35, 50 and 90mm lenses. Here's a few pics taken with this camera.

    2. Olympus 35RC with a fixed 42mm lens. Here's what it looks like from the back. Here are some of the pics I've taken with it.

    3. Some godawful ****box friggin Canon 35mm SLR with a crappy Tamron or maybe Sigma 28-200 lens. I took these photos with it. Can you guess I don't like it?

What exactly do you mean by a 'car rig'?

Top shots benno, those are incredible! Love the effect of the background with the motorbike racer - did you zoom in/out as you took the photo? And really like the shot that you took @ Cambodia!

A car rig is something kinda like a tripod that stick to a car with suctions caps and enables rolling shots at fairly unique angles. A lot of the really cool shots with a blurred road/background that you see in magazines were shot like this.

Thanks mate! I took the bike (MTB, not moto ) shot with the old 'slow shutter and zoom' method with the extra twist of two flashes bungeed to trees either side of the rider. The flashes help to freeze and really define the rider, while everything not lit by the flash gets blurred.
