how big / small are you talking?
Whereabouts in the UK are you planning on shipping from?
Ladies and gents I need your help with this please. I am needing to ship something over to Australia from the United Kingdom and was hoping someone could help with this.
Does anyone have relatives in the United Kingdom?
Also, can I get some recommended shipping company's that I can get my package shipped to, and then sent to me or direct?
Cheers

1993 MK1 CAB ! Work in Progress........
It's a cat-back exhaust.
The location of the package is Hampshire near Basingstoke.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Robbie, I often call them in the UK during our evenings and organise shipping directly with them. I have family in Hampshire and don't bother with the messing around and forwarding as its even more expensive than stores like VW Heritage shipping directly using UPS.
blis, who do you often call in the UK?
I may have misunderstood what you wrote above, sorry. Would your relatives/family in Hampshire be willing to help me out? I completely agree it would be best to organise logistics directly.
Let me know, would be thankful.
Anyone please?
I called VW spares the other day. The website only shipped to UK, so I called them, arranged on the price of shipping and it's on the way. My 85 year old father inlaw wouldn't really appreciate having to deal with an exhaust system. Why can't you call the supplier and arrange a price to ship it?
I've done this before and had my family send things over to me and it ALWAYS works out more expensive, unless the part will fit in an envelope.
Suppliers actually charge really competitive rates. Suspect they may get a commercial discount.

Agree with the above. Too much hassle for family and you don't end up saving anything ... Only way you'd save is if someone you know was moving here and had space in a container.
