if the ex US price is $2400 plus say $200 for shipping, your total landed cost here will be:
(assuming AUD=USD)
purchase $2400
shipping $200
import duty $130 (@5%)
GST $273
customs agent $50-80

not sure what car you have, but Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and Awesome GTI - Volkswagen Audi Group Specialist both carry V3 KWs.
I just looked. Get the Bilsteins. Better local support if they ever need a rebuild, similar price and onlu $180 freight!
I would think the V3s most likely have an error in their database (probably in item weight, extra digit somewhere) if other coilovers cost ~$200 to ship. Just email them if you're sure the V3s are the ones you want.
Don't forget what gareth said about the customs and duty charges though... and AUD is more like 0.94 against US these days when you make payment (it's never the open market exchange rate).
That looks like ECS tuning to me..
I've always found their shipping costs are rediculous, unless they are being shipped super dooper express, that's way too much.
and also keep in mind, that the item is over $1000, so be prepared to pay tax etc.
if you haven't bought them yet, ask Chris (Preeny), he's an agent for KW in Aus.
There is definitely something wrong with that price, I'd contact ECS and ask them what's up, (attach the screenshot), see what their answer is first, it'd HAVE to be an error you'd think.
Also, I bought my coilovers from DPM Performance in the UK, and not sure of the exact shipping, but the coilovers were on sale for a measly £170, and they were shipped here within a week for $418 AUD.. TOTAL!!
I would email them for a quote for sure. sales@dpmperformance.co.uk
