FYI, the service fill capacity for a 6 speed DSG is 5.5L.

Of course it is 5.5L recommended. Then you remove the bung and let almost a litre drain out!

They are selling six litres because the advice is to fill it with 5.5L. I can see the boardroom presentation ... "even though only 4.6L is required, all we have to do is sell an extra litre for each service and we make millions more! We get our bonuses and the dealers make more money!"

That's probably more like a dry-fill capacity.

Depends on how long you're draining it for, in a warranty situation if VW don't see 5.5L booked out @ the 60,000km service interval and you have a DSG complaint, the warranty department do question it.

Oh really! Just because I'm paranoid does not mean they are not out to maximise their profits.

I see this in a different light after all the recent bull**** with VW. This is clearly gouging and extra litre of expensive stuff. Bonuses protected.
