Sure is. If you see it at the cinema make sure there's not someone with a big head in front of you, otherwise you'll be having to look around their head to read the subtitles! A good chunk of it is in english though.
Pretty sure it accurate Preeny. It's entirely archival footage with overdubs from Senna himself and his contemporaries such as Prost, Ron Dennis, Frank Williams, his mum and sister, commentators etc. So the story kind of tells itself (similar to Australian Story on ABC if anyone watches that).
I saw this several months ago when it was released internationally.
First up. I was never a Senna fan. I was actually a Prost fan, and Mansell fan etc.
But this documovie is simply fantastic. Some of the footage is simply amazing. And seeing Senna again through much more experienced and "wiser" eyes, he truly was sensationally gifted behind the wheel.
I'm not at all an F1 fan today. But I'd recommend this to everyone.
My girlfriend watched it with me, and she enjoyed it, and even cried at the end (I won't spoil the plot for you all![]()
) so I would hazzard a guess that you could even take your partner...
This has been out for almost 6 months now, not sure why it has taken so long to get it onto the big screen!
Having seen this 3 times I can suggest everyone to go and see it, its bloody good![]()

Official Australian release is next Thurs 11 August. It will prob be a limited release, but should be showing in the capital cities.
I'd say it was a bit of hard sell for Australia. Being big into F1/Senna The UK and Japan jumped on it when it was first available, but they prob had to do some convincing to get the distributors to pick it up in Aus.
I saw Senna a while ago and it is truly an epic doco. Will be seeing it when its released for sure!
Also, doesnt the dvd/blu-ray also come out next week?
