    selling unregistered car help

    okay times are tough and my mk1 has to go

    thing is I bought it from WA and never had it regisitered

    how do I go about selling it?

    do I need to get it registered first? or is there someway I can sell it as is?

    you can sell it as is... thing you would need to consider though is proof of ownership. the new buyer will need proof that it has changed hands from the person you bought it from and then from you to them in order for them to register the car in their name.

    Sorry to hear it dude!

    Just take the cash and hand over the keys?
    Is there any WA registration left on it?

    Otherwise you'd just sell it the same way you would any other object.
    All you'd really need to do is to write out a receipt for the new owner.

    Just write up a receipt showing engine number/chasis number and it should all be sweet.

    You could also provide the receipt that you received when you bought it but shouldn't matter.
