    Roll on 12th October

12th October is nearly here and it will then be illegal (in QLD at least) for all wank..ers to drive with their fog lights on (day or night) when there is no fog.

Now, if only we could convince truck drivers that it is not illegal to use the left hand lane of a dual lane carriageway.

I thought that rule was already the case but the cops didn't care that much?

Funny enough the other day I saw a Aurion Police car with his foggies on.
    Cheers,

On a European car, fog lights don't cause any dramas to other road users.

If they're illegal, they should stop making them available on cars sold in Australia. It's simple.

I'm not going to fuel another Fog Light debate. But I suspect that the cops will continue to not care given they drive their Aurions, Commodores and Falcons with their foggies on all the time. Not to mention I've seen their Jetta, X-Trail and Maxima with them all on while having pulled someone over.

EDIT: mrpayne; you beat me to it

x2. I'd rather they put their effort into stopping dangerous driving instead of pulling me over because I have a few extra lights on.
